Exciting things are happening at Aotearoad
When we created our first natural deodorants in 2016 our vision was to provide Kiwi families with a fresh new way to look after their bodies, with affordable, toxin free, vegan, cruelty free personal care products packaged in compostable paper tubes. It turned out we weren’t the only ones looking for this solution so with time, our personal care range grew, and our customer base grew, and our brand appeared in stores around New Zealand, and then in Australia.
What’s changed?
We’re still dedicated to our original commitment to kind, effective products that are light on the planet, but now we’re taking them right around the world! Our products are now on sale globally in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia and the United Kingdom.
With this expansion we looked for a new identity that was true to our ethos, and which gives people in our new markets an understanding of what we stand for.
Aotearoad is becoming Slo natural beauty.
A new name, new global markets - and the same beautiful ethos.
Aotearoad branding will continue in stores and online in New Zealand and Aotearoad is still available for Kiwis to shop online, right here. Nothing will change for you here in New Zealand for the time being.
Overseas the same products you know and love will be rebranded with Slo – and with a new brand, comes a new website slonaturalbeauty.com. To celebrate the worldwide growth, we have some gorgeous new products emerging under the Slo label to enrich our range even more.

Slo natural beauty is the opposite of the highly commercialised fast beauty brands that use toxic ingredients, cheap labour and mass manufacturing, animal testing, and generate millions of tonnes of waste and pollution with short lived trends.
Our personal care products are affordable, long-lasting, and created with the environment in mind. Our packaging is recyclable, compostable and ultimately fit for landfill. With Slo you have great choices, all of them enabling you to steer clear of contributing to the world's plastic burden.

Slo is 100% women owned and operated, certified by WBENC and WeConnect International. All ingredients are cruelty free and vegan, and our products are at least 70% organic. Slo packaging is FSC Certified and Commercial Compostable Certified by TUV.
Slo is still manufactured right here in NZ in fully traceable, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified facilities, under world-leading fair workplace laws.
We are actively committed to supporting charities and wildlife affected by plastic waste. We donate 5c from each item sold to the Royal Albatross Society, working with them directly to fund filtered drinking water and just recently a brand new incubator for the baby albatrosses.
We constantly operate with sustainability and social responsibility at the forefront of all business decisions. As part of our vision for a more just, equitable and sustainable world, we pay above the living wage and strive to partner with like-minded businesses.
